Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness. At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” Mt 9:35-38
To be the people that God has called us to be, accompanying one another in Christ, celebrating God's love, and transforming lives, requires more laborers in the vineyard of St. Monica. Prayerfully consider how God might be calling you to this vital and life-giving work of accompanying adults, children, and teens - on their journey of faith.
Please note all volunteers must be Safe Environment cleared before they can volunteer at St. Monica.
We need Spanish and English volunteers for all the programs.

Do not feel that you need to be a theology expert to support us. Children, youth, and adults need to see faithful witnesses who are excited to share the joy of a relationship with Christ.
We appreciate you prayerfully discerning to serve.
If you have any questions please contact Maria Rocha, Director of Faith Formation.

Core Members are the heart and soul of the youth ministry experience. The youth ministry Core Team is the group of volunteers who plan, prepare, and execute the main teen gathering at the parish. A core member provides an opportunity to bring in a large number of teens for catechesis, community building, service, and social activities whereby they then go out to participate in their faith life within the parish.
The RCIA process welcomes new members into the Roman Catholic Church. Adult volunteers are needed to journey with potential candidates through the process of becoming Catholic.
Adults accompany a candidate/catechumen throughout their formation, rites, retreats, scrutinies, and Easter Vigil/Pentecost.
Throughout the year, we offer several events: social, service and spiritual, and need volunteers to ensure the success of these events. There are many ways to help from planning and preparation, to set-up and clean-up, to assistance with decor, to helping with providing a welcoming atmosphere.
