Catholic Daughters of America nominates Connie Johnson as the 2025 volunteer for this ministry. Connie is an exemplary volunteer for this as well as other St. Monica ministries.
Every month Connie collects and distributes 500+ hard-boiled eggs to the homeless. Connie's commitment to this ministry is truly remarkable as she does this no matter the weather or any other circumstances that arise. Every month Connie reports how much the people at the Shelter appreciate the work that she is doing to feed them.
Connie is also involved with our Homebound Ministry as well as the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Connie is in charge of the CDA yearly tamale sales at St. Monica. Connie makes sure that all parishioners are aware of the sales, she not only asks for CDA members to volunteer but she also mans the tables herself, takes orders as well as collects monies, and places the orders for tamales. Once the pickup date comes around, Connie again mans the tables and asks for volunteers to help with distributing the tamales.
Needless to say, Connie stays very busy throughout the year and it is with great pleasure that CDA Court #2478 submits Connie's name for Volunteer of the Year.
