Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Faustina #2478
Monica Noyes has been a Catholic Daughter for 9 years. She has served as an officer for 4 of those years. She is very enthusiastic about the Court and is always inviting new women she meets to come to check us out. It has been said of Monica, "She is adorable and is quietly everywhere." Monica is a true champion for the homebound ladies of the Court. She calls and visits when she can. She is trying to form a committee to visit these ladies regularly. Monica has been instrumental in getting our members out into the community for fun and games. She has pioneered a monthly game day which is held at the Family Center. She organizes outings to restaurants and museums. She even gets the members involved in other senior outings. For the past two Christmases, Monica organized a group to make throws for the clients at the Missionaries of Charity Shelter in Oak Cliff. She goes shopping for the Sisters' needs with another CDA member and helps to deliver the items to the shelter. Monica lives out her Catholic faith daily through her service to the court and her fellow members. She has lost her brother and sister-in-law in these last several months, but this has not stopped her from ministering to our shut-in ladies when they had COVID or recovering from illness/injury. She is always aware of needs and steps up to help. The Catholic Daughters are very blessed to have Monica Noyes as part of our group. Nominated by Isabel Campbell
